it's not sand that you see, but dry seaweed from all the water levels going down from lack of rain :(  ...

 - The Erie Sea has seaweed like you say , and not lakeweed.

Thank you John, what a great Compliment to compare the Lake, Lake Erie to Greece !!!

They are ships coming from the canal...

Oh and,

Careful because if I was in Greece, I would come and hunt you down,

I have seen that beach in Greece Brigitt :))

 - and its not a lake if you can't see the other side !!!

They are cruise liners on the horizon ? .....   aren't they ?
