No worries...I joined this forum and then looked at the dates of the postings. I know the LI have had problems - such a shame because it was getting better. I'm still a member and probably not active enough but it's tricky as I'm not practicing but I write and teach all aspects of landscape. I'll have a look at the other groups.
Cheers

What a question!! I would recommend taking a wide view of this, this group was set up very kindly by Phil to allow discussion of LI woe last year outside the framework of the Talking Landscapes pages so that it could be seen by everyone and not just the membership. I suppose it has been quiet since the second EGM because all manner of things happened after that. There is still scope for a public or private chat, so many imponderables. Have you come across the Reform group for the LI? We are trying to work for change in a positive and diplomatic fashion, with greater involvement both from and with the membership. I have left, but that is based on a complex professional scenario. I think with a vibrant and healthy Institute there is alot to be said for being an active member. I hope that helps a little bit???

Yes. Splutter, splutter, it has become private. This means that neither you nor Phil can see it, nor can any LI Members who have yet to sign on or members whose technical skill isn't sufficient to get through the signing on process. And since the loss of the very good brown envelopes for the journal how many people have their membership no to hand.

I cannot longer see the TL froum page, I am diverted to the sign up page straight away. Has it become private?

WE HAVE 20!

20 requisitioners is the minimum required for the LI to have to call an egm! There will be more coming in I have no doubt!
