Comment by Stephen McLaughlin on May 11, 2013 at 20:30 Hi there everyone, I am a newbie on the site. Just starting out with soft landscaping , maintenance and basic hard landscaping, Lanarkshire area.
Comment by Niall Campbell on May 2, 2013 at 20:00 I'm new to this group. I'm retiring from science teaching in July. Based in Dundee, I have been running a business selling alpines (especially wee Sedums of which I have about 200 kinds) and brushwood planters at agricultural shows and other kinds of weekend events. The business will take over from teaching in July, and diversify.

Hi all,
New to all this, everything is a bit slow on the work side at the minute due to weather and thought i would get involved.

Darren, I'm a new start up business - I did start up doing maintenance but my true goal was to re-do gardens - bigger projects. I did end up having to give up the maintenance part as it was too difficult to manage (with employees and with the competition in the area) but I am happy to give any help. I'm sure others that were successfully in the maintenance could help in that area - maybe you can learn from my mistakes as well ;o))
