Hi,

I bought a couple of 2009 pro 46's as back up mowers and have been putting them through their paces this week.

I'm very impressed so far my only gripe being their speed.

Can they be tweaked to go faster? They both have the B&S engines.

I know everyone says this but I really would invest in the top of the range if only Etesia produced a roller!

Hi gary,
I will put the details on the site tomorrow when I am in the office. You can change the pulley and belt and blade coupling as well, all of which should give about 30% plus increase in speed.
All the parts except the coupling are available from any bearing supplier, the coupling from your Etesia dealer, fitting time 30 mins max.

Gary,

Les pimped mine and I reckon depending upon the ground conditions getting 25 - 60% faster well it seems it but like all mowers you soon get use to the speed and wished it would go even faster!

I was informed that the 46's are known for their slowness, but on most smaller lawns I never found this to be an issue before it had the mod.

I am however seriously thinking of investing in a push model as they are so light and more than acceptable for most lawns of any size.

Thanks guys.

Hi Gary

Parts you require are-

SPZ850 belt,

Taper lock SPZ075/1.108 pulley

1108/25TL bush (for 25MM shaft-later model)

1108-E (22.5mm Shaft) all of these parts from your local bearing supplier, and the Etesia parts from your dealer.

Etesia part number 23729 coupling for PBTS 25mm

Etesia part number 23620 for PHTS 25mm

Thanks again Les

Hi Guys

My 46 is barely driving.  How do I fix it?  It's not so much the speed, just doesn't seem to pull along like it used to since fitting new drive cable.  Almost like the drive cable supplied by MacDougall is too long?

Cheers,  Neil
