Forgot to mention that we rolled the grass out the day before and when we turned up David (from Bristol) jumped out of the van to get the mower out!! Thankfully the client wasn't in or he would of been a tad worried!! :-)
It seems that you are on a roll here. Perhaps I am speaking out of turn here, however if you are expecting a significant increase in the number of turfing jobs you should speak to Stuart and tell him about the anticipated volume increase you are expecting. I have recently decided to become his (informal - no cost to me ) agent in north and central London. I do receive a small discout which realistically has little impact on margins. My interest is however, in using the product and an entre into a project where I am able to offer design and planting services where, especially in the case of planting, the margins can be much higher. Have a word with him, I would be surprised if he was not open to discussing options with you.
Stuart has previously asked if I would undertake installs from their company generated leads if within my area. These would only be worth while if I could make a small percentage off the supply which I don't think is being unreasonable.
I will chat to Stuart in due course in the meanwhile I will offer the clients the option of different grasses from all companies.
I have four confirmed quotes so far off this one job and another five possibles.
Thames job completed today and next job booked up for Monday plus another two to schedule in. I must admit the more I see it down the better it looks and may even consider it for my own lawn one day but then again I do perfer the real thing.
We installed 72M2 today around a swimming pool - If I say it myself it looked stunning. I have a few pics on the mobile phone and will try and download them. We also completed the prep work for our client in Bedfordshire today and will be laying 68M2 tomorrow. I must remember to take the camera!!
Here is the picture of the job that we laid AG around the swimming pool. This is very much a working farm and most of his "garden" was part of the farm yard but he wanted his pool to stand out.
And the second job which we completed the following day
Watch out for next year. The fake lawn companies will be pushing it big time. There has been a real shift in favour of artificial lawns and the products are just getting better each time. I will get a supplier to contact you and hopefully they will pass leads on to you. Will CC you in the Email.
