I ordered a new phone from the 3 network a couple of weeks ago,

I read all the reviews and chose a HTC Wildfire, the review centre

I checked it out on, forgot to mention that it was not any good for

people with big fingers.

I have sent it back, and do not want to make the same mistake twice,

most of the new touch screens are going to be too small for me.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is enormous over 5" long, but would

probably get damaged at work, and I probably don't need the apps,

neither do I need to spend £33 a month for two years plus £99

down payment which totals to £891 over the two years, compared

with a basic 3-4 phone £10 a month £64 down = £304

I don't want a querty key board, but I do need a fairly good camera

5 megs.

 Any suggestions ?

HTC desire HD.
iPhone - no brainer

s2 is what i have and its great

iPhone for me every time. Strong. Simple. Great camera.

My partner has similar problem with phones John.

He's ok with iPhone though, despite having hands size of shovels.

I love the iPhone and the quality of the camera is hard to beat.

Check out the Techradar review.

I am sure the iphone is good, but I don't want to spend

that amount of money on something that is going to be

in my pocket while I am working.

A while back I put all my expenditures onto a spreadsheet

and looked very closely at ways of reducing these costs.

It was only after seeing them all together that I realised

just how much I could save in a year. So £10 a month

for my mobile is all I am prepared to spend. When the iphone

drops to this price I will get one :)

I think I will have to get a basic phone and a new camera, but

will try the Nokia C2 -01 with its 3.5 meg camera first, the C3-01

has a 5 meg camera, but it sucks apparently.

I think you get what you pay for. I have an iPhone (my previous phone was an HTC Desire) and it is probably the best handset I have owned.

I pay £39 inc Vat for a 32gb iPhone with no upfront charge for the phone (2 year contract). With it I get something lie 200 minutes, 5000 texts and unlimited data so my bill should never be more that £39.

Iphone, best phone going. Great camera. Like someone else said you get what you pay for.  Only use this one for business so all goes down as tax deductible.  Have a Blackberry 9700 for personal use.  Not a good camera on Blackberry.  Re Iphone have a Griffin heavy duty and mean heavy duty case us it with gloves and grit no scratches if I drop it, it bounces.  Great.

ive broken 2 iphones and 2 blackberrys now got a bog standard jcb phone very robust

Agreed.  Otterbox work perfectly, keeps the iphone completely safe and it never needs to come out of it, mine has been dropped countless times, gets mistreated by kids, lives in the pocket with keys and other stuff and gets answered with dirty hands yet inside the box is still as good as new

Paul @ PPCH Services said:

John, look up otterbox defender on amazon. I use one with my I phone and it stays permanently in my pocket along with keys, secateurs etc.

It is semi waterproof so keeps the damp, dust and sweat out and totally protects the screen, best £25 I spent and my fragile I phone is still as good as new.

I have a Samsung B2100 water proof shock proof rubber surround, I have had it 2 years cost £70.00 e-bay , my phone contract is £10 a month for 500 minutes free texts free data from Tesco can cancel with one months notice fantastic deal.

Samsung Galaxy S2 every time - try O2 website
