I want to hold an LJN AGM is March/April and I'd like to know where to hold it.

Before we decide on the location it would be good to know who would like to attend.

I'd envisage an afternoon meeting culminating in evening meal and at a pub/restaurant/hotel.

I do appreciate that taking time off of work and travel is costly hence the reason for this thread.

Once we get some feedback we can formulate a plan.

For the record, if there's enough interest, I am happy to have more than one meeting.

Please leave suggestions.

Birmingham too far for me :-(

I'm with Brian, in-season work gets far too busy for a full 1-2 day thing, sorry.

I like your idea Simon:)

I know of a great place where you could hold the landscape Juice AGM, everybody who travels by train will pay the maximum of £50.00 each way from any train station in the U.K., there are 2 airports within 20 mile of the city, for less than £100. Round trip, it has,  two ports with direct train and bus links, The city has lots of new hotels, at competitive pricing, Lots of history, culture, shopping, bars and restaurants, and the natives are the most friendliest you are every likely to meet,

Welcome to Belfast !

Middle England would be great for me but i know that's being selfish as the majority of members are from the south.

Sorry for not replying earlier. With family/work commitments I'd really struggle with half a day even if it was somewhere reasonably close like Birmingham. I'm really only free after 7pm!

No real preference to location but would need to see the agenda a few weeks before hand in order to see if I can free up a day.

Personally, I would like to see a small charge applied to those attending and included within the price being a decent mid day snack and light refreshments.

Alternatively why not seek out a company that would be happy to open their doors to us and use their facilities? The Etesia demo day springs to mind as an example?

Here's a suggestion - how about some regional meet ups and then anyone interested can go to the full AGM? I'm in Bracknell, Berkshire.

I'd also like to know what's on the agenda first.  My interest is in getting some kind of communication in the public arena about the difference between a garden designer, landscaper, and gardener.  Should I be putting this on the other forum link? I think so.

Surrey ,  shame we have no Tardis for hire

I would like to attend and if it makes it easier woudl be willing to travel anywhere within the South East.

I think it may be beneficial to hodl more than one meeting?

Before discussing a venue for a meeting, you need to establish the content and form an agenda.

There are going to be hundreds of topics if you ask individual members what is the  main thing on their minds at the moment, Maybe you need to set up  section headings which can incompase sub heading topics.

For example Main Heading,

Hard Landscaping.

Sub heading Costing,

Suppliers,

Design, etc

When that has been broadly outlined, then go to the members to see who is still interested and exicted about attending.

Then you can sit down and try and find a suitable venue that is as central as possible to those people.

You will never please everyone, but if people are comitted to Landscape Juice they will do their best to get there.

Would be happy to attend the meeting and meal Phil.

Whereabouts were you thinking of?  London/South East would be good?

Best wishes
