2 weeks ago i had a new customer phone me wanting a fence (a wall had been demolished 18mths ago),i told him over the phone i could get him in mid september,not go enough he wanted it earlier so i jigged people about and found a spot mid august,then he tells me that the courts had not sent a letter to let him put the fence up (boundary dispute),gave him till thursday to give me the ok heard nothing so told him the date had gone and squeezed him in mid september(booked up till nov now),"oh that's a month away can i think about it and i'll get back to you monday/tuesday,i might find somebody else"

I agree with the others move on to the next customer as he sounds like a pain in the #####; but the bigger problem may be the dispute over the fence, you may get caught in the middle of the trouble with whoever it is with; do you want them chirping in your ear complaining about everything that you are doing, time you are starting etc
