    She who must be obeyed says....it doesn't flower like Old Man's Beard, no fluffy white stuff, a sort of male non floral more like stamen without petals.........if that makes sense?

    Yep-Philip's correct of course, it is the horrid native Clematis. Should get rid of it if I were you before it becomes a major task and ruins your existing climbers and the rest.

    i see it on one of my london jobs - maybe others ,i cant think. you wrap your hand around it and pull it firm and slowly - a fair bit comes out (its looong)..... it does look serious and needs to come out i reckon !!

    Thorncroft Clematis on Twitter will identify it for sure-I've used them for my Clematis enquiries and have found them hugely knowledgable on the C. subject.
