I noticed the planters outside a ladies fashion boutique were looking very sorry so I popped in on the spur of the moment. They want me to give them a price for replacing them with something more seasonal.

Which led me to wonder what the market is like for both shops and private houses for planters for Christmas.

Does anyone do anything like that?

  • I have been doing winter baskets and planters for the last few years and do pretty well out of it pubs and schools are also worth a try.

  • If you aren't doing it someone else is =]

  • I have been toying with this subject for a few years. Winters are especially quiet for me as the majority of my work is grounds maintenance, with a handful of landscaping jobs throughtout the year. I really to generate additional income this winter and I hope to dip my toes into making and selling Christmas wreaths & planters.

Other ideas for Mothers Day, Easter and the like too.

Meeting a supplier this week, and hope to get things moving forward quickly, as I know time is starting to run out.

Does anyone have any tips or advice that I should take on board before I jump on the wagon?

    Thanks in advance,

    Andrew @ The Outsidedge.
