What do you pay for storage?

I have trailers, mowers and allsorts dotted around my shed and driveway and want to put them into storage again. A unit (garage-size) on my street costs £9 per week... not cheap. It would be worth it though once I have the ride-on and big trailer, just to shove them in and keep them out of sight. How do you get around storage issues?

£20 + vat per week for a sea container. Handy cos it's got 24 hour access and is ( touch wood ) secure.

Don't want to say too much about the location as it's a public site.

hmm, not too sure about "secure" - a landscaper we know had one broken into, even tho he'd taken lots of special measures to make it especially secure (or so he thought!). Deffo keep its location under your hat, and be discreet about allowing anyone to know whats in it!.
  • Luckily one of my customers lets me store trailer, mowers etc in her old stables FOC.
If you can get a garage for £9 a week I'd go for it a container would cost a lot more.
  • I have a unit about 2000 sq ft Fits all my gear in and that of another gardener, I used to work for. Its £300 a month plus rates.
