  • Rebuilding our unmade road and the first of many lorry loads have just turned up! No time for a cuppa!
  • Starting to build the frame work for The Healing Garden structures if the weather holds up. Should have started it weeks ago!
  • Raining heavily - so a chance to have a lie in. Couple of quotes to get done then off with the family to take new dog for a muddy walk. Meeting with client tomorrow to discuss non- ericaceous planting .....but no heavy work - might lift a wine glass or two though!

    Enjoy the racing
  • I have got roughly 300 plants to pot on, a workshop to reorganise and maybe a carboot to attend.
Good luck with your road BGS and your structures The perfumed garden.

  • do some back up research to finish a match funding bid, newsletter, get the oil burner going and a long relaxing lie in the bath to ease the muscles.
  • watching mad rainfall out of the window with a cup of tea. I am not going to feel guilty about being unable to work in this
  • Just finished an e-mail to an upset customer whose tomato rigging I'd taken down and rebuilt - yes I know, tricky one, I could explain .... Wishing I'd transplanted the rest of those tagettes yeterday before this rain. Trying to sort out a new grass box for our new mower that a (lady) customer reversed over on Thursday (my fault again although I had put it on the flower border) Cranks nut-roast burgers - and the first beans from the allotment for tea. Treat myself to (some of) a bottle of black sambuca.
On Sunday continue clearing a four acre car park that a very nice man has found for us in Redditch - anyone tried navigating Redditch? (rhetorical) - at last a chance to really test Pro-Gard's recommended 345RX brushcutter, it didn't come with a clearing saw blade, but I've got one now - can't wait.
  • Hello,
Today I've been busy getting my Plant stall looking nice as I've been invited to sell plants at the NGS charity Open Gardens in Stapleford,Near Cambridge tomorrow afternoon. I'm very excited as it's the first event with my plant stall :o) Lots of lovley perennials and Annuals. Just finished the last label and am now enjoying a nice cup of tea and a sit down!

    Have a nice weekend everyone.
  • Mucked out the rabbits, potted up some lupins and heading out to a friend's allotment tomorrow to help him dig up some fruit trees and transport them back home. Could really do with potting on some rudbeckias & echinaceas, so may do that later tonight.
  • Finished the resurfacing of the road. Dads taxi service for youngest daughter, brought in late lunch, painted the kitchen and walked the dogs. And they call weekends restful!
