I need some advice on watering system for a pub, just been to lookat supplying 20 hanging baskets that the easy part, they have a water drip line in place but the pub has been referbished, owner cant be sure the water works, Has anyone come accross this and if so what sort of time should I allow for trying to get it to work. The baskets need the supply every day.
Help and advice much needed.
Hi Micheal, if the system is in place, then probably won't take much fixing (hopefully) - one of the pubs I used to do maintenance for had a system in place that had not been used for years. I modified some of it, using if I remember rightly lorry air brake piping and associated connectors as basket positions had been moved. It was replumbled (by another local) onto a simple t switch on the hosepipe connnector on the tap - that made it work sufficently to have the baskets throughly watered in about half an hour.
Suppose a lot depends how complicated/easy to reach parts of the system concerned are.
