Voluntary work

Can anyone recommend a great environmental/landscape voluntary organisation in London? I have a keen 18 year old student based in east London and desperate to do some voluntary work.

  • Hi Andrew, there are a few projects and organisations where I am in Hackney, including:

King Henry's Walk Garden (they definitely have volunteering days)

Growing Communities (food growing also welcomes volunteers(

Thrive at St Mary's Secret Garden

    Dalston Eastern Curve Garden

    Growing Concerns

Does your student have experience, want to learn/experience a particular part of the industry - or volunteer to help people (or a combination?). Hopefully they might find something above, but also worth dropping me an email as I may be able to think of something else depending on their experience/interests/availability.

    Best wishes

    Jenny

  • Thanks for suggestions guys - just shows a central resource might help! (I'm not volunteering!)
