I've not heard of a 5 year pro warranty on tools, and if it's true I'm sure it will be a very basic cover such as deck cracking but not items such as blades, belts, cables, switches etc. Probably not worth the paper it's written on.
The boys down the dealership think it will apply to the deck and maybe the drive system after they've revised the design. Even then it'll probably have so many terms and conditions it will never apply to us. hopefully it will be better than the 3 months currently offered.

Take it with a major pinch of salt. How can anyone warranty a mower for five years when it will be subject to a fair wear and tear clause?
In the experience i have had, the easiest way to fall out with a dealer is by expecting them to honour warranties as when something goes wrong they just don't want to know about it.
One of the reasons i only buy second hand now is down to abysmal dealer service, and would i ever use their workshops ? ? ? ? . . . . . . . . NEVER !!!!
You could also say the same about a 5 year warranty on a car?
I would be certain that a major caveat in this 5 year warranty that it must have at least an annual dealer service and that it would not cover wear and tear parts such as belts, cables, blades and blade clutches (if it has one).
