U.S.P

what is your 'unique selling point' ?

Mine is mainly that we can cut, lower, trim or remove Very big and tall hedges. (Our main service).

AND remove all the waste...

Another is that we offer 'all your garden needs' - maintenance, mowing, spraying, chain-sawing, waste removal. fences/gates. mini-digging, and soft maintenance , turfing and planting.weed control and lawn care.(sometimes patios. Plant knowledge.

Another is that 'our service is for You' 4U. ie you get what you need.

times, budgets, schedules, materials cost & value.

We will also travel within reason or where worthwhile.

Maybe also experience and adaptability to client needs/requirements.

- Bear in mind this has taken 11 years plus background knowledge.

Oh yes better at everything apart from climbing ladders...

  • I dont bullshit

  • Im happy to work in a leopardskin thong. but dont get many customers requesting me to do so, strangely.
Seriously though, if your getting plenty of work you must some sort of unique selling point, whether its a good personality/no nonsense approach or the quality/diversity of work you do. In my case its all of the aforementioned.;)

  • Never a bad thing that!

I sell myself on the knowledge I built up working as a qualified greenkeeper for some 20 plus years, much of it at one of NI's most exclusive parkland golf clubs...

  • I am the best, that is my USP.

  • I bet we're the cheapest tax-paying, fully insured, fully equipped, professional h&s & legistlation compliant outfit for regular general domestic garden maintenance tasks (exc. tree work which we don't do).

.....or at least we aim to be.

  • I was going to keep my nose out of this thread, but couldn't resist.

Gardens4u, I'm not sure you really understand the concept of a USP. Being a 'Jack of all trades' isn't a great USP, in fact by doing that you are setting yourself up with exactly the same business model as a lot of cowboys use. One day they are tree surgeons (usually with only basic CS units under their belt), the next day they are laying paving, and the next they will mow your grass.
