The slime type is used in industrial tyres as well. I have used it in a Jcb and would never go back to inner tubes. It even kept me going with side wall damage on a rear tyre.
I keep self vulcanising repair strings with a long needle as well but rarely need them. A good quality 12v air compressor is worth keeping nearby for use on smaller tyres.
Regularly got punctures in front wheels of ride-on (Etesia). Eventually got the front wheels 'solid filled' and the problem is (obviously) gone. Cost a few bob, they are fairly heavy and I notice there is faster wear on the tyres, but well worth it overall. Funnily, I have never had a flat rear wheel. Not sure that these could be so handily solid filled, as they are considerably larger and the weight penalty would be very significant.
Its a regular problem for me. I have two spare wheels in the van if i need to change on site.
Wonder if the OEM tyres are the issue then ?

Hi ...Never had problems in truck van or mowers since buying Goop ,slime type,on fleabay (other makes available too).Jcb which is used for turning over compost and green waste had old cracked rear tyre sorted too which I was amazed at.Compressor carried in van in case a flat happens away from home...

Had forgotten that. When I first had the Etesia, often found front tyres flat on trailer. Put it down to lateral shake when moving between sites, breaking the tubeless seal, so I had inner tubes put in early on. Very easy to change front tyres..just a pin to remove, but still got real punctures, especially as tyres got older, hence the solid fill, which eliminates problem altogether.

Hi Gary,
I may have the answer to your problem, we are manufacturers of Puncture preventative sealant which works and is not messy, does not damage the tyre, seals multiple punctures.

From the looks of the post above from JH, there could be a neat packaged solution to carry in the van for use on Ride-ons, trailers and Vans;
For Gloop/Slime/Linseal, this chart appears to show the quantities (in Litres) required for specific tyre sizes:

I end up glooping all my wheel barrows and customers mowers..works really well, carry a compressor the same as the link above too just incase plus tire repair kit for the truck..waaaay easier than changing the wheel. I buy the gloop from local farm supplies place coost about 9 quid for a couple of ltrs if I remember correctly.
