Suggest you try LJN member Tim @ Sunningdale Turf supplies. Good quality and service.

Price will be dependant on your quantity discount and would normally be between you and supplier.

Expect list price to be somewhere ~£3.00 M2 (from memory)
  • Hi matt, I can hopefully help you. I am a main distributor of QLawn turf which is a high quality cultivated turf grown on the Norfolk Fens. Price.. from 1.79 + VAT to trade . Delivery cost dependant upon delivery postcode etc. Get in touch with me direct on davidpfisher@btconnect.com and I will help if I can.
    Cheers
    David
  • Q-Lawns or Sunningdale - You certainly wouldn't pay anywhere £3 m2. Guess Sunningdale would work out best for you as only 20 minutes down the road. Just don't drink all his coffee!
  • gardens4u.co.uk £2.00-£2.50 cash sale per roll . plus £20 local delivery ........ shropshire areas.
  • Most of my clients know that on small orders they can purchase Rolawn Medallion turf for £3.25 plus VAT. They also know that due to volume purchases and having a great turf supplier (another plug for Tim @ Sunningdale Turf) I can purchase the turf cheaper, they also know and expect that they have to pay a reasonable premium on turf and other materials supplied. Then of course pay the going rate for actually doing the job.

Some clients like a break down by Materials and Labour, others happy with a combined price.

Even if I can charge .50 pence per m cheaper for supplying the turf the client will be saving money than purchasing themselves - a win / win.

And don't forget another LJN member - Lindum Turf

I know a customer can find these out to a degree, but by disclosing them you are left against a wall when negotiating prices (Sales 101). The customer utlimately knows your costs.

Never found this to be a problem - they can accept my quote or go elsewhere.
  • Can anybody suggest where I may be able to get Pure rygrass turf in the north of england?

Do you not then negotiate on prices if a customer pushes hard or do you just let them walk ?

95% accept the quote - on the remainder I can be encouraged to reduce the price but all depends upon a number of factors. For me the key is understanding the clients expectations and making sure we are all singing off the same hymn sheet before leaving their premises. Then follow up with a killer quotation and covering letter which re-enforces the quality of the job and the price.
  • I get mine from a company that lays around 3000-5000m2 per week here in Leicestershire for £1.90 + vat . They have used alot of the best known suppliers but are now using spearhead , and i must say , its the best looking stuff ive ever used . I think , not sure though , that they used to be called cannons .
  • We get ours direct from Rowlawn, with a discount for volume.
