Turf and plastic mesh
Hi everyone,
We have used the London Lawn Turf company to supply our turf for the last few years. They supply Rolawn. They have just informed us it is now grown with the plastic mesh inside (octogrids) We are not too keen on this as we were told, by another supplier, that lower quality turf has this in to keep it together. A lady from Rolawn called us this morning to tell us that they have NEVER had a complaint about the mesh- they we are the first people!
We pay around £2.31 (inc VAT) a roll when we order over 200 rolls. When the order is under 200 it can range from £3.50 - £4 a roll.
We are now looking at other turf suppliers and wondered who others can recommend? Some local companies supply Sovereign turf- does anyone have any experience using this?

+1 for Country Supplies, just down the road from me and excellent service for years.
I've had the plastic mesh catch in a strimmer before. When you've ripped up a perfect lawn edge and had to spend ages untangling the stuff you'd not want to see it again. Grrrrr.
