i agree

ifor williams , you may be better of with lm series for loading of a fork-lift

gd 106 depending on size/weight...................... cheap trailers are No good £1000 + and will hold value for an ifor williams
When you say "cheap" what's your budget? Ifors hold their value and your unlikely to find one for next to nothing..they make good money on e-bay. You'll get what you pay for. Size depends on what you can pull and then how much you want to carry ( depends on the seasons as the turf can vary considerably in weight - teaching me grandma to suck eggs I know)

I'd definately go for a drop side ( as Paul has suggested) a fixed sided trailer is a real pain for loading and unloading. Forklift loading/pallets a must. Do you want to use it for anything else - tipping? Only buy once or repent at your leisure afterwards.I.M.O Atlas tippers are cheaper, better built and come with more optional extras than the Ifor....contraversial...prepare to be shot down in flames :~}
I agree with the others. I used to have a ifor williams GD85 but sold it as the fixed sides were a real pain for loading and unloading and with the tail ramp it wasn't even possible to fork lift on. I now have and LM105 which is perfect for carrying two pallets of turf, in fact was using it for just that yesterday. They do keep their value though so expect to pay at least £1000 for a decent second hand one.

Beware of buying a stolen one and make sure you do your homework on the seller and trailer. Most Ifor Williams should be registered with TER so as a minimum check the serial and chasis numbers with them before handing over any cash.
I'll tell you if I ever sell mine...unlikely. Service I've had so far has been superb....they provided all the spanners and sockets etc in the toolbox, combination locks for the ramps and even sent me a wheel clamp and fitted a trickle charge lead foc.

I have yet to see an Atlas tipper in the flesh or tow one but I too have heard good reports. I wonder what how they hold value.

Personally for flatbed and plant my first choice is ifor.
