Trade discount from leading builders’ merchants offerred to LJN members
I have just met with my supplier to discuss the coming year and discounts etc. and they would be happy to offer the same level of discount to any members of Landscape Juice.
Whilst I can't mention the name just yet in this posting they are probably the UK's leading
chain of builders’ merchants. Supplying building products and materials from
well over 500 branches across the UK.
You wouldn't need a trade account to qualify but if you wish you could apply for one subject to their conditions or simply pay cash / card on the day.
Unfortunately I can't give examples of prices but it would be fair to say that the
trade discount would be very good particularly if you tend to buy in small quantities The prices are also regional so some areas of the UK could expected slight better deals. Also depending upon the particular branch, they may be able to offer a discount off their equipment hire charges.
Whilst I can't promise the discount to always be better than your normal supplier (or in fact the discount that you currently enjoy from this company) it is certainly worth using them to check out prices and play one supplier off the other.
They have also promised to review the trade discount every three months based upon group activity. The more we all use them the better for all of us. I must stress that I will not be receiving any special discount or kick back based upon volume of sales but should you use this facility and it saves you money then you can buy me a drink if we ever meet up or make a small token donation to Landscape Juice.

and all the information I need would be your work location (nearest main
town). I will then Email everyone back next week with the group discount code which you would have to quote when ordering supplies. Periodically, I will forward Emails from the supplier with details of any special deals etc.

Just to quickly answer one question that arose - I will not be able to see who brought what - your transaction with the company is private and no details will ever be released.

Hi Graeme we would be interested. At the moment we tend to use local builders merchant as they tend to get good prices from the 'nationals' but worth checking out. Thanks for your good work.

Discount code should be available from next week to those that have requested it. It has been slightly delayed due to my daughter having pneumonia and been running back and forth from the hospital.

Right the cash account discount code has been created and I will try this out end of the week to check that it all works and has been loaded on the suppliers Head Office computer and hence rolled out to all branches.
I will Email you all the discount code and cash account number as soon as possible.

The discount is nearly ready to roll out!
I done a quick quote for one of our members and this was the result:
51.5% cheaper than their standard stated web price!
24% cheaper than the member was quoted from the same company for trade price!
On the particular example it would be a whopping £200 additional discount - that's an extra clear profit to the bottom line and / or allowing for a credit crunch winning quote to the client!
Will EMail out account details as soon as everything is completed (hopefully next day or so) but Email ne if you have an urgent quote to get out.
