What annoys you on a regular basis in this industry? (warning - this is a 'bob a job gardener-free' thread, we know that annoys you already.)

People driving large cars/4x4's and taking up most of the road while expecting a Transit to squeeze through a Fiat 500 size gap!!  to**ers........  there also the same people that dont acknowledge you, when you give way because there taking up all the bloody road! aarrggggggggggggghhh

And.... minimum charge at the local dump being £20 bloody quid which means i often have to stock pile several days worth on my own driveway until i have sufficient waste to make a trip cost effective!

Dog crap - obviously. And lawn areas that were designeD and or built by people who clearly never considered how It would be mowed, such as innappropriate bed/paving circles/tree/positions.

Oh and OCD pots on hard landscaping areas where none are maintained. I was building fencing in a 100 sq m area last week and i counted 122 pots full of moss (maybe it was a penecillin production area0

Moving to a new city after I have built up a good business, then having to start again.

Things thats annoys me - Timewasters.

end of discussion.

Green thumb, Lawn Keeper, and their Ilk.

Honestly - a lawn does not need that much nitrogen - They put more on a lawn than I put on my Cabbages at my allotment.

They make lawns grow so fast that its not possible to cut them often enough - Some need cutting twice a week!

The Leave their Hollow tine cores on the lawn.... adding a great hour or so to tidy up after they visit. What gardener leaves their waste behind?

Argh - at least all my customers now know I do these services, and do them properly without leaving a mess or creating a meadow in a week.

Customers who phone up 7 different contractors to come out and price for a hedge trimming job that would take me under 2 hours. " I want to try and get it done as cheaply as possible" said the customer..... not happy.

landscapers that don't read the specification and quote for something different, (we can lay paving on xxx, you don't need yyy)

landscapers that offer design 'free', (there's no such thing as a free lunch...)

landscapers that offer to plant cheaper than my quote, (then change the plant schedules to suit what they can get from one supplier, thus ruining the intended 'feel' of the garden...)

customers that don't reply to a quote (how challenging can it be to e-mail 'thanks for coming out but we've decided to go with someone else')

and don't get me started on politics :):):)

Digging heavy clay soil

Planting new garden and having to water in over 150 plants with watering can cos of the hosepipe ban. Cheers Thames Water!

Don't get me started ....... ;-)
