One can View a Garden from many different areas (spots), and to me sometimes sitting in a certain area of the garden rejuvenates the days hard work, relaxing me and brings me one with Nature !!!

Some clients have mentioned how they will bring a chair and move it to other areas of the garden, either for shade, sometimes to view the birds on the flowers and most times to relax...

I too move around and in all the gardens that I have Designed and Maintain, I do have SPOTS where I truly enjoy the Gardens View !! Some by the ornamental grasses, or under the Acer's, or on that bench in the Nook of the Garden...

Even if you do Lawn Maintenance, there must be a Spot that once finished you look back and well think

"I've done a Great job"...

So do you have a favourite Garden Spot ???

Where do you sit or stand or relax to rejuvenate ???

We have a hammock in our garden and I absolutely love to just sit and chill for 5 minutes (even in the winter) and just enjoy the view and look out for whatever creatures are visiting.

However, I always spot a weed or something that needs attending to so don't tend to linger too long!

In clients gardens I do tend to linger by ponds, I just find the sound of water so restful! That is the next project for our own garden - if I can persuade the other half to give me a hand :)

For me, normally where the coffee is and thus can sit, contemplate and take in the views and recent changes

Good luck on your pond Jenny ! :)

Do you ever have lunch or a snack at a Clients garden???

I'm thinking maybe the bigger estate ones, then you can truly enjoy your work at their home :)))

Gary, are you saying Clients bring you coffee and a chair (seat ) ?  Now I need to get into that kind of business :)))

Never done that I must admit - perhaps something to try one of the days!

The favourite spot in my garden is my greenhouse, - I never get time to sit down and look at it, - but I usually take my morning cup of coffee out there, before dashing out to clients, and it always calms me down.

My favourite spot in a clients garden, is one which looks out over the lawn to woodland.  - amazing space and the trees are always different each month that I go,

At the bottom of my garden by the work shed.  I lie on the bench behind the green house and listen to the radio watching insects circle the Cotoneaster tree above my head.  From there I can see across the garden but the neighbours can't see me:)

I try and hide from the neighbours too. My hammock is positioned so that I can just sit in peace and quiet away from everyone!

I design planting schemes by post, mostly :) So I'm enjoying photographs and videos of my clients' completed gardens, from the privacy of my study, doors wide open into my own garden, - the herb garden first, perennial borders later, with buzzing of bees and signing of birds - all the way to water terrace. I like the view, any season. My fave time&place - Summer, Saturday morning. Early. Everyone's asleep. I get myself a cup of coffee, and cross the lawn, bare-feet, grass so wet and cool - "breaking" my ankles! :), and walk down to water terrace - where swans are floating, silent and slow, or a little turtle, or a fish... I sit there, and everything is so clean, fresh and crispy: the sky, the water, and life in general.

And then I see a silent neighbour, far away, across the water, in the same trance as myself. :)) I think any place is great in the garden where you can enjoy its beauty and its privacy, having it for yourself, time to time.

Helen that sounds very relaxing :)))

Hello Claire, I like the idea that your greenhouse is warm and calming, almost sounds like meditation, relaxing and breathing in Nature, before the hectic busy days, very nice !
