did my back lawns first cut on sunday, we have had it wet in the midlands but the water has moved quick and in our village (outside rugby) the grass is growing mad already
Did my fist last week, Had a dry day on an open coastal site. ground was good and the sward was nice and dry. Blade on my mower was like a razor too. It came up really nice. North Somerset for your map Chris.
I can see you thinking Chris but this would be hard to maintain.

I'm in NE Somerset, grass is long enough that it needs cutting but it's just a bit too wet, not growing fast yet but feels like it's on edge.
Was tempted to cut my own lawns on the weekend as the grass is growing like mad but didnt get round to it in the end. Wont be starting domestic customers until March and with commercial re starting in April. (Mid Wales)
I've always been one for cutting lawns as and when they needed it. I had a rule of never removing more than one third of the leaf blade at any one time. Unless the lawn surface had a covering of snow or there was a deep penetrating frost or the too much water in the soil, I'd cut my lawn all year round.
I'd just space the cuts according to the conditions. The result was a much easier lawn surface to manage come the strong growing period.
