Yes, Stihl don't have any loop handle machines suitable for professional use, so we must look elsewhere.
what about a back pack strimmer?

Dan my Tanaka long arm hedge trimmer has a foam hand grip and is very comfortable re vibes..perhaps you could retro fit one to your D handle ?
Yes but looking at the Stihl website the vibe levels go up to 6-6.2 with the loop handle on an FS100r. Foam grips don't dampen vibration sufficiently.
It really seems like a pro loop handle strimmer with low vibes does not exist!

hi dan, i know this post over 2 years old but funnily enough came across it while searching for vib levels of tanaka 230s, only place i could find any was downloading user manual which is rather confusing the way its laid out, vib levels are at worst 3.8m/s for the the 230 with a mowing head on it the higher readings are with a grass blade, and the husqvarna 525rjx best vib levels ive seen on loop handled strimmer with levels of around 2m/s
yeah 3.8m/s at worst has to be considered really good for loop handled strimmer, you still using same 1 dan? how long do you those machines last? in terms of months/years and hours service, using a stihl strimmer myself at the moment "loop handled" vib levels are really bad you can feel it in your hands/fingers within half an hour or so of solid usage, going to be replacing it early doors next season and the tanaka 230 on my shortlist
