I've used a lot of different garden furniture suppliers before, but the current project that i'm working on suits a stone bench.

The only downside is that the area with the view that we want to put this bench on is at the top (and I mean, a long way up) of the garden. The only access is via steps and a very steep lawn, so i'm looking for something that will come apart and can be carried/barrowed by 2 normally fit people (i.e my clients, not landscapers lads,) - or alternatively a company that is willing to do a delivery to the required spot, not the roadside.

Anyone know someone/ something that fits the bill?

many thanks

You might want to look at what Chris Nangle produces Clare although his stuff is in wood it has a real prescence and might work as an alternative.

Dear Claire, My name is Gareth and work for Marshalls. I am based up in West Yorkshire with part of my role overseeing the Marshalls Web Shop where we do sell stone furniture garden benches.

As per Phil's note we do sell stone benches and also offer a voucher code with a 5% discount for LJN members.

We are running short of stock as they have done exceptionally well but here are some links for ones we sill have in stock:

In terms of your question about the product being able to come apart, I know for a fact that the benches we sell are supplied flat packed and come in 3 parts. The two legs and the seat. These are then joined together with an adhesive which is provided.

I have attached some images showing what the product looks like before it is put together for your benefit. These are photos of the one my parents bought which we set up over Easter. They are very happy with it and if you wanted to talk to them about it they would be happy to do so.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Kind regards,
Gareth
