Hello,

I'm thinking of investing in a Stihl Multisystem with the scarifier (sorry dethatcher) and aerator attachments. I was wondering if anyone had experience with this tool ?

many thanks in advance,

Paul

Hi Paul

Hope there is someone out there with experience of this tool as I would also be interested in their opinion.
However, if nobody responds I will grant you the pleasure of purchasing the tool and submitting a review ( only jesting)

Have had the Stihl MM55 system since 2006, using the aerator, dethatcher and tiller options. I love it. It's very reliable and does what it says on the tin.

I don't use it for lawns bigger than 300 sq m but it's perfect for carrying through houses and doing smaller lawns. The aerator is really only a slitter and you need to keep the wheels sharp or hope for damp soil. The dethatcher is ace and the tiller option is OK IF you have already killed all surface vegetaion and ideally strimmed it down, otherwise it clogs up quickly and you spend ages clearing the wheels.

Depending on your type of work, I would always give this kit a 10 out of 10. By the way I don't work for Stihl but do have one of their peaked caps!
