sorry to hear about your trouble being a belfast boy not sure what pikeys are
We had a husky 346xp stolen 2 weeks ago from front driveway of garden we were working in. Nice area. Dead end street. Large in/out driveway. Medium size white van. One fatty, one medium size and...one small boy who was probably being shown the ropes. Cracked front windscreen.
Scum-bags. Never seen again...yet. Police said they would check all cctv around the route we saw them take(the boys tried to chase on foot to no avail.)

I always lock up after collecting tools out as this is always a worry. I do it without thinking as a matter of course.
But the van also has built in auto locking after a while (just make sure the keys are in your pocket and not in the van!!!!)
At the moment I do not have sign writing but have thought about it however this has crossed my mind weather it would encourage thefts of my tools from the Van.

Permalink Reply by Colin Hunt on November 25, 2011 at 6:29 About 10 years ago, we had our truck driven out of a garden and away while we were working the other side of it - 6' away! Phoned police as it was going up the road with the tailboard flapping and they intercepted the toe rag 5 miles away. 2 hours later we had it back. Lesson learned - don't leave your keys in the ignition........EVER!

thats the english word for gypsy Drew.
