Sign the petition to stop the landfill tax increase

Further to the recent topic concerning the huge increase in landfill tax announced this month by HMRC that will add dramatically to the cost of skips and waste, here is a link to a petition being organised to change the policy. I believe this is a poorly thought out bit of legislation that will have a dramatic impact on our industry and we need to rally behind skip companies and the construction industry in campaigning against it. Think about it like this, it cost around £60 to buy a reasonable tonne load of topsoil. To get rid of it will now cost more than double that. The mind boggles.
