What do you do when selling a truck or van with
business signs on it ?
There is no way I am going to sell it with the signs still on it.
I would probably see Ace Garden Services 2, driving around.
So exactly, what is the best way of removing the signs

the best way i have taken signs off before is to use a stanley knife blade and then get the glue off with either petrol or nail polish remover, but i should imagine there is lots of ways to do it, but i found this way easier and thats how the bloke who done my signs told me to do it

Must put the sander back in its box.

hot air blower or wall paper stripper works too
I imagine my van's going to take quite a while to clean so I might just take it in to get done. £70 I was quoted. Anyone tried a wallpaper steamer?
I did it with a hairdryer and white spirit once but never again as took ages, next time I will take it in to the signwriters and get them to do it.
I think the difficulty depends on the quality of the original decals and the length of time they have been on the vehicle.

yeah I used a wallpaper stripper on my old van before Christmas
Find it ok Mick? I have large graphics about 60x120cm on each side of the van so that's the bit that might take a long time!

It worked fine for the lettering I was removing but I don't know how it would work for a large vinyl area like what your removing
