running my generator on lpg

ive been thinking that it would be easier for me to run my generator on lpg as i have 4 calor gas bottles and when ive emptied 2 i take them and have them exchanged and it would save me having cans of petrol lying around. have any of you guys converted your honda engines to run on lpg?

heres a link to the Ebay auction one of his other auctions says a 1kw generator would use a 1/3 kg of gas per hour and a 3kw would use 1kg per hour. at the minute i'm using £7 of petrol to run for 10 hours or 2 nights and i'm currently buying 19kg bottles of gas at £30.60

if my calculations are right (i doubt they are) on petrol i'm using 58p per hour and on lpg i'd be using 83p which if that is the case then i'll be continuing on petrol.

    I've also seen people go the extreme of strapping a gas bottle to their lawn mower not sure I'd want the extra weight. 
    Are they getting their figures from forecourt lpg figures as they are cheaper than calor gas prices?

    surly if you are using £7 of petrol in 10 hours that has to be 70p per hour

    if 19kg of gas is £30.60p, using 1kg per hour will be £1.61p per hour, 19kg x £1.61p =£30.59p

    i guess that also depends on what kw genny you are using

    ahh i thought i'd included details of my generator. its a 2.4kw honda open frame with a gx160 engine. its a bit too powerful for my every day needs but i opted for it as it will run my microwave when i need it.
