a client gave me a cucumber the other day, they are somuch nicer than shop ones!!!
i have ,
potatoes, beetroot, 4 types of onion, carrots, peas, sweetcorn, cabbage, brussels sprouts, lettuce, 2 types of tomato, sweet and chilli peppers, melons. i may have more but i cant remember without going up the garden.
i've loads of summer cucumber recipes, - grate them and use them for tzatsiki - with yogurt and garlic(saturday night in front of the tele with chips and dips!). use them with tomotoes in greek salad.

i've been growing lemon cucumbers this year, - from budget seed company Seed Parade - they are excellent taste and are round.
thanks claire. i'm off shopping in a minute i'm going to try that dip. i have garlic in the garden too. (i did say i'd forget something) ive got a recipie for borscht to use up the beetroot i did try pickling it last year and i used sarsons pickling vinegar but it was far too strong for me
