  • I usually base it on £1o per sq metre, that is basing it on a basic removal of old lawn, laying top soil, fertilizer, turf etc
dont forget to factor in getting rid of waste.
If the garden has slopes etc then quote accordingly.
make sure you look for anything that is going to make the job last longer than it should.
    good luck

Need to find out what local companies are charging one company up here are charging £4 per square metre & not looking at the big picture, drainage issues ("no we'll just lay it down as it is & let the owners sort it out") can't compete with that big estate so lost out on that but hey ho maybe come back to us with moss problems .
  • And this is after the clean up, it's very small. The man definitely wants new lawn and landlady is paying I think.

    Value your thoughts!

I actually enjoyed doing the garden clean up, I quoted £150 including arranging pots on stairs etc Removing a bamboo, and taking of slate off the border that took longer than I thought.
Do you think think that is too much too little, it was based on £15 an hour, I think I gauged the hours correctly.

Would you have run a mile.

    Thanks

I apologise; I haven't paid attention to my own advice about searching before starting new topics and I could have added this post to this existing thread - although, saying that, they could both still deserve their own space.
