For the researching visitor there's a wealth of landscaping ideas, garden design ideas, lawn advice tips and advice about garden maintenance.

Progreen Weed Control has launched a new range of bespoke, compound fertilisers for the home and professional user. The strength of compound fertilisers lies in their uniformity of application with no streaking or overdosing common in blended fertilisers.

The range of AMVISTA fertilisers are grouped under an easy to follow sequence, numbered from 1 to 5. They are based upon common requirements from those who like to maintain a quality lawn to contractors and maintenance professionals who may need a compact range of products to offer clients throughout the year.

The tailored range is formulated for release over a 6-8week period to suit key times in the lawn care calendar, e.g.; Amvista no.1 Lawnsand: a very high iron, low Nitrogen lawn sand to tackle moss and green up tired turf in early spring or Amvista no.5 Autumn & Winter: a high Phosphorous and Potassium content to emphasise turf health and rooting over growth. Progreen has added micronutrients and trace elements to compliment the action of N, P & K in order to make the grass more healthy as well as making it grow, such as seaweed extract and added calcium for strengthening leaf cell walls, in Amvista no.3: Feed, weed and mosskiller, or added Magnesium (improves chlorophyll production) & iron in Amvista no.3 Spring & summer.

Sometimes there is just too much choice – Amvista exclusively available from Progreen www.progreen.co.uk makes it easy.

  • does amvista do a spray?

Unfortunately there is nothing currently in a spray format. We do have a number of liquid fertilisers mainly in the Maxicrop seaweed range, if you let us know what you are looking to achieve we'd be more than happy to give you our advice.

  • I have not tried AMVISTA fertilisers.
Are these fertilisers really good and increase plants growth?

I am using Hydra Bio Compost & Bio growth for my garden plants and quite satisfy with the results.

    Hi Alex,

The Amvista range is fairly new so feedback will probably be limited.

I thought you may like to know why we launched it. The reason we now have this new range was as a response to poor quality blends we were seeing out in the market and to give a simple, easy approach to fertiliser choice throughout the year. The product comes in a quality compound prill and within the five different choices there are added extras such as calcium, magnesium and granulated seaweed extract which further aid turf health throughout the season when it's needed. I hope this helps if you need any help please feel free to get in touch.

    Hi

I thought you may be interested to know that we now stock the following liquid fertiliser  - VITAX Liquid Longlast Fertiliser 20lt.

It's a slow-release 18-2-8 liquid fertiliser that also has added natural seaweed extract.  A 20lt pack covers up to 4,000m2.

There's also a 21-0-0 option too for later on in the season. The product has the benefits of UMAXX slow release nitrogen with added phosphate & potash and has been developed specifically for the UK market & lasts up to 12 weeks.

I've put the links in on the product names if you want to have a look at them.  Looks like you were reading our minds with your question.  Not an Amvista Fertiliser brand but a liquid fertiliser none the less.
