Hello all,

I have been busy but keep dipping in and out now and again.

I just thought I would let you all know about a fantastic organic lawn treatment, none scorch, no harm to pets, animals and children, easy to use and I can post bags of it directly to your door!

Each treatment actually treats the soil and lasts up to 4 months. Please take a look and let me know what you think?

what is it made from? what values does it have there arent any technical details on your website

Hi Nic, I cant say what it is made from only that it is organic and totally safe for all. I was thinking I could do an introductory offer for LJN members that want to try it if you wish? I have sold a few already though! :)

Hi Colin, it is an interesting one. I have three gardens with small children that of course pick up and eat everything. One of them wasnt happy with the green thumb option but was quite happy to pay me to treat the lawns with something organic that would have no effect on the children, even if they eat it! - Maybe an alternative would be refreshing? How long does the clearrun last for in the soil?

Thanks John, I used Clearrun as an example as this is what we are using this year and demonstrates the price difference effectively.  The 'scorch' issue only arises with the inexperienced or careless, so that is not an issue with us. However I can see that the organic product could be a useful addition and offered (at additional cost)as an alternative if a customer is worried about then issues you mention.

John, it's a pity you can't answer any of the questions about your product in any real depth.

As they say in The Apprentice, I'm out.

I suspect it is roughly NPK of 9-1-0 and inhibits weed growth by drying out the seed as it cracks open to sprout causing the seed to die (as long as there is a period of drought after the seed cracks).

No, No No ..that's the Dragon's Den.

Phew..I don't know ..some people ;-) lol

Be nice! I have been working 7 days a week morning to night then designing when I get in, what did you want to know, I am all ears, unless you are really out!?

Go to the top of the class Duncan. It looks just like it as well - yellow colour. Good stuff indeed. However i would be concerned that it is made from GM corn. Also to be truly organic the corn needs to be organic. I would give it a go but where do you get phosphorus and potash from if this corn gluten meal contains none - just nitrogen.

Also, why is a product left over from processing corn so damn expensive?

Duncan said:

I suspect it's animal feed. Corn gluten meal, £60/ton in the states, they've been using it on lawns over there for the last twenty years. 10-0-0 or thereabouts. Proteins kill the seedling's root ;-) Good stuff all the same!

I am impressed Duncan! :) - Yes it is gluten meal from organically grown corn. The USA swears by it for their lawns. It feeds the soil and stays there for about 3 to 4 months. I wish it was £60 a ton here. It is really good stuff and even worms love it. I have been using it for a few years and decided to sell it on my website and its going really well. :)

I was under the impression that by law all fertilizers had to have a n-p-k declaration on them, and a breakdown of what they contain? So surely this fertilizer does anyway?

Sorry about this, I keep using the word organic but actually I should say natural Fertiliser! It is GM free but not organically grown, but it is a natural product and if you were to get in on yourself or heap it up on the grass for instance, it wouldn't do you or the lawn any harm at all, in fact you could eat it if you had forgotten your lunch box and were in the middle of a very large lawn?

Everyday is a school day! So if anyone would like to try a bag I will do you a deal for one! It would be good to get your impressions of the product.
