Turn it upside down and it's ultra high vac?
These are the culprits. Seem to get used all the time and placed (if done well) with correct finished level are fine, although we've seen some that sit inches above the ground :-(
Did bite back a bit when it was suggested we pay for a new cover (luckily had picture of the other unsecured cover).
Digi photos are worth their weight in gold :-)
I got a couple sovenier blades as well off my Hydro 80.
Although it wasn't me, the shock is the sudden noise while you work out what the heck just happened.
I suspect we'll suck it up...not worst cost we've borne recently on machinery !
I drove over one of those covers the other day - also with the screws missing. I'll be giving it a wide berth next week after seeing that!
see it all the time in new build gardens. they are never set at the right height, or secured down. apparently it fits in with the new build style of cheap lap panel fences with no gravel boards, three rows of riven slabs to make a "patio" and a minimum of at least one manhole cover in the lawn, set in between the brick bats, wall ties and scaffold clamps buried in the topsoil
These days every consultation to a new build property comes with the caveat that I reserve the right to alter the quote once works get below ground level. It's astounding how awful site contractors can be.
