Do any landscapers need a garden designer to carry out design work for their clients? I work alongside landscapers in warwickshire and find it works very well for those who don't currently offer the service. Let me know what you think guys....

Yes I find most landscapers try and get their views across on a post-it or stamp!...so a design works well to get the client to understand what you can achieve in the space. I'll drop you an email and we can discuss it further.

Hi Lucy
What areas would you cover? Im in south beds but venture into Bucks quite offtern.
Permalink Reply by Andy Westacott on January 5, 2011 at 23:27 Not wanting to hijack the thread and I wouldn't dream of doing this if myself and Lucy were in the same geographical area, but we are based in Essex so I thought it OK mention that I'm in a similar position. If people feel there is a conflict let me know and I'll take the post off immediately.
Whilst we offer a full service from design to build I'm very keen to shift the balance of our work to design.
So if anyone is looking for this type or arrangement in the East Anglia area that would be very interesting.

Hi Nic,
Thanks for your response, please take a look at my website at www.lucybravington.com.
Let me know if/when your clients may need design...in most cases it ends up as more work for you as they may initially be just after a patio or fencing but once they take a look at my portfolio they realise the potential in gardens.
Please just let me know and I can come out and meet your clients.
Thanks, Lucy

Hi Charles,
Thank you for your response. Yes I can travel to the South East no problem, I'm carrying out work in Essex at the moment. I don't have a build team either so there is no direct competition with our companies. I plan to create more work for landscapers through detailed involved designs (which often originate from a client looking for a new patio/dining area) and hope that landscapers pass repeat design work my way in return. It works out very well with my current contacts in Warwickshire.
I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Please take a moment to look at my website in the meantime at www.lucybravington.com
Thanks,
Lucy

If any of your clients ever require garden design you know who to contact!
I can travel to Hampshire for design work no problem.
Thanks for your interest.

Permalink Reply by Lucy Bravington on January 6, 2011 at 0:12 Hi Kieran,
I travel all over the UK for design work so travel is no problem.
As I've mentioned to the others, my designs often create more work for the landscaper as clients realise what can be done in gardens once they see my past work. I hope to work with you in the future and look forward to hearing form you.
Please take a look at my website at www.lucybravington.com
Thanks,
