Open association for the landscape and garden for industry

I was talking to the local mower rep in our area (who sells all brands of mowers) and he was telling me about the john deer roller mower http://www.godfreys.com/product/19%22_Variable_Speed_Rear_Roller_BB... and how good it is.

Ive never even considered this before and was wondering if anyone has used the rear roller and let me know your opinion, as i cant seem to find any reveiws about them.

Many thanks

Drive is great and fast! This particular model if I recall correctly didn't have the front wheel issue. Flipping heavy and to be honest doesn't give as nice a finish as the Hayter.

Hi Martin,

Occaisionally I use a MTD lawnflite, which has a rear roller, on larger lawns. Mainly because the customer is looking for that tennis court look. Though it does give the strips & cuts well, I do find the self propelled element slows me down a little..However I was taught to walk with a mower & not run!!

Overall the effect is impressive, to be honest I'm looking for a smaller rear roller say 16" for the smaller and curvier border gardens.

Good luck

Ive used the one with the Kawasaki engine. Basically a good machine.... IMO an edge over the Honda.

Personally I loath the briggs engines on hayters and the drive element and would never buy one.
