I have put an area of long grass with wildflowers/spring flowers in my design which is just being created. I was just wondering if anybody had any tips for creating such an area ? I expect to be starting with top soil. Thanks Glenn

How are you going to allow for maintenance on this area Glenn? Meadow grasses need to be cut for best effect, is it a strimmable area or will access have to be allowed for a 'finger bar' type mower?

Also I believe (although willing to be corrected) that POOR soil provides the best conditions, not topsoil?
