Looking to gain experience in general gardening

Hi there,

I was recently recommended this forum (and great it is) as I am very keen to gain some general gardening experience in lawn mowing, hedge trimming, pruning, planting, de-weeding and more.

I live in Blackheath (SE3) I am polite and well mannered and am available whenever an opportunity arises.

If anyone needs some extra hands to teach and train I would be interested in hearing from you.

Many thanks all

Adam

    Hi Adam,

Other than working with someone, how about volunteer groups, they often do gardening for the infirm or conservation projects.

  • Also a shame you dont live in Manchester, i sometimes need a lift! You should find a local firm to give you a part time position, especially if your prepared to start on a labourers rate of pay. have you phoned any gardeners/landscapers in your area already? At this time of year, your realistically looking at autumn tidy ups, not many lawnmowing weeks left really. Not in Manchester anyway!

  • Welcome here mate, hope everything finds you well. Though you might need a bit more experience in the industry, I have found that places like HumresConstruction.co.uk are good about finding potential jobs as well. If you are interested in more work, I have seen some entry-level jobs there as well. Are you looking for a permanent position later on would you prefer to remain independent?

  • Hi Adam,
