I have noticed that many people on LJN do not

link LJN to their business website.

If you wish to participate on LJN and benefit from the shared

information, then I think that it is only descent to reciprocate with

a LJN link.

I do not wish to name businesses at the moment.

I will save you the bother John, Iam one of 'those' businesses.

I wasnt aware it was a requirement.

Hi John,

Got a quiet Saturday afternoon again?

Links from LJN to our websites are great at helping the perceived value of our websites

eg, yours & ours, ranking sites rate incoming links from sites like the LJN very highly

as such it is only fair & reasonable that members reciprocate with links back to the LJN

But if you have enough time to name them all, maybe should get down to your local DIY store, get some paint & watch it dry, could be less stressful & probably more fruitful

Lol....... Hi Geoffrey.

Not having a swipe at you Geoffrey, but those that pertain

to being loyal members of LJN without reciprocating the lJN

link onto their business websites.

If I was capable of linking web site together with the money IT people earn  I would not be trying to mow lawns on a rainy  Saturday afternoon.

Hi John, sorry but i have no interest in linking my business to landscape juice. In fact i go out of my way to avoid it by posting under a 'nom de plume' so i can make honest comments without having to worry about corporate image or letting local competition know what i'm up to. I do take LJN seriously but only when i'm off duty.

Best regards, Mike.

Aren't there many ways of supporting LJN ? We each make our choices as to how best to contribute & support.....

It is quite difficult to remain annon., when elements of your profile can be copy & pasted into a search, & hey presto the same info can be found on a website...

I suggest we don't turn this into a witch hunt...it's too destructive and negative.....

By the way, I am one of those 'businesses' who has not linked back to LJN, for many reasons......

Could not agree more, we all makes our choices

Many websites don't have any links, mainly I suspect because it is not an option

Love this website and the information is great BUT why would you link to LJN? thats like saying hey check me out and what i can offer but why not check these garden services out first. Not really best way to pick up work but its a great way to give work away.

That's a fair point but the LJN is so much more than an advertising directory

for example the discussions about charge out rates & running costs lend themselves to explain to your potential clients, that all of what we charge is not our wages but includes running expenses & capital investment

we all operate in a competitive market, transparency is to be encouraged

Agree and i do find it hard to get my point over to the customer about this exact issue BUT i don't think clients will look at this site for that reason alone! I also think it gives your competition the scoop on what your doing who your clients are and what issues you may be having within your own business ? Like i said great site one of the best for businesses like ours, maybe i'm just paranoid . . .
