Landscape and Horticulture Association - Landscape Juice Network

Open association for the landscape and garden for industry

All those days, thankfully well past now, stuck in amongst the branches of leylandii. That green stain which combines with the sap to stick to your clothes and hands for days - Nightmare.

But check this out - "Searching for the blue" .

There are 4 of these short films. Personally I'm a sucker for art that uses the sublime and when it is linked to something I know so well, resulting in something totally new and intriguing.

The photos are worth checking out also - www,kathrynwilkins.com

Good stuff, I know what you mean about the memories of Leylandii - I think these trees are another type of Cupressus though, but the photos are brilliant.

Thanks Robin,

Really lucky with this, great job and client. We have to built a couple of quays on the river Fal estuary now, beautiful site - it has been a great year for our contracts but mustn't get complacent not sure what winter will hold in store as only booked up till end of October now. I am wondering whether to go down the artistic assistant route more - there is a huge amount of money available for art projects in the landscape and it is maybe worth targetting such contracts. I was thinking of doing a blog on here about it - the whole 'articulture' thing.

Hi Hamish - Thought the same as you but confidently told it is Cupressocyparis leylandii 'Leighton green' - as such can be a little confusing.

great photos, great wall. It is weird when you see something you take for granted as an artistic photo, so much better than all the watercolour rubbish going on down here, every other person on the lizard is an artist it seems and every time i take a walk i have step over herds of them with their sketchbooks and easels littering every beauty spot. You just can't help to check out what they are painting and 99% of the time it is truly ****.

this is what it should be about.
