The American market seems to be awash with non stick under coatings for lawnmower decks that helps to prevent grass build up and clogging.

Here is just one example of such a product. Clean Deck

I have tried to search for a similar product here in the UK but to my surprise I haven't found anything similar in our marketplace unless of course LJN members know any better?

In view of this I have decided to experiment with my own non stick epoxy paint using graphite as an additive which I have ordered online.

I hope to post my results in due course.

What do you use to keep the underside of your mower deck clean and slippery in these wet grass times?

I use ACF-50 or scott-oiler365  which are sold by motorbike shops. They are effectively an anti-corrosive agents but make cleaning much easier as the dirt doesnt stick.

That looks perfect for the job and it dries smooth too. I will have to try a bottle of that on one of the other mowers and compare the results.

Thanks for a great suggestion :0)

The one you point to is a paint and what comes to mind is what is used in the fishing industry on pole joints which is a graphite spray that is used to build up worn joints and can be polished.
I'm not sure how great a difference it will make but it's just what sprung to mind with your query.

How this material will key onto a surface when used is another question as its meant for carbon based materials.

Thanks Simon, does this product dry or does it stay as a wet oil covering?

I could try this also on a different deck.

I use waxoyl had a mower with steel deck eleven years - no rust or perforation.
