  • A couple of questions
What is the current membership price for clients that have been with you over 12 months.
The saving of up to 5p per liter is it based on a price you set and you hope you are up to 5p a liter cheaper or we will better pump price by 5p
    Today my local price is

    Name Distance Price Last Update
    Morrisons Preston Riversway
Mariners Way, Ashton On Ribble, Preston, PR2 2Y 4.93 miles 137.9p Sep 1st
What is your diesel price for today
    Thanks

  • I signed up to the last fuel card...it was ok to start with and then any benefits began to dry up..ie prices were the same as pump price or even more expensive, card charges were introduced etc etc and what should have been a problem solver turned into a problem maker for me, finally cured when they changed the brand of fuel they were selling and I didn't have a local garage anymore that was eligible.....

Sooooo have we ironed out the problems with this one then because I would like to make it work but I'm slightly more standoffish due to past experiences ?

    Cheers

  • Hi Mark,

    Thank you for the message.

This is definitely something that myself and Phil have spoken about in recent conversations as he had raised the same concerns for the members.

As a business we maintain consistency in our prices by the way we base our business model- Many fuel resellers will rely on a low volume of customers but will then take a larger margin on the price they offer for fuel. The Fuelcard People are different- We rely on having as many customers buying fuel as possible with our cards so when we contact our suppliers they give us a fairer price due to the large volume we buy. We are ISO Accredited on our service so we have to ensure we are transparent and our customers are all happy with the service we provide.

I was made aware of the situation with the last supplier however with us you will be able to benefit from a free of charge service for 12 months then £6 per card, per annum thereafter. Alternatively, you may even be able to use the service free of charge year on year. In order to set this in stone we do have some signed agreements in place with the LJN to ensure everyone is protected.

    I hope this helps.

Just to clarify what Andrew is saying:

"Depending on your membership to the LJN you have two options:
    1) A free of charge service for 12 months then £6 per card, per annum thereafter for the service.
    2) Free of charge service year on year for the time you would be with us."

Premium members benefit from a free card and no ongoing admin charges.

All other members will get the first 12 months free of charges and pay just £6.00 per year, per card, thereafter.

  • Hi,

I have found an article online from the BBC regarding the latest oil price news and how it could potentially be affected further due to the events in Syria:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-23879213

May provide a useful reference for you all if you are interested in oil costs and how they can affect businesses

  • Just signed up over the telephone. Very straight forward and pain free.

    Regards,

    Andrew

Can we hold two differing brands of fuel card at any one time to give required/best coverage ?

We already have Cards and I do keep an eye open to the various options and see the current LJN joint offer as attractive when viewed from a LJN Member's prospective  (at whatever membership category).

We looked at a card earlier this year that was gave national coverage using Supermarkets stations, but at a whopping £24 per card per year, it wiped out any saving especially as we have 6 cards :-(
