If you were selling a mowing round, what would be the ratio of cut value (Based over a four week period) to asking price.
In a nutshell, I have a mowing round that will t/o £1600 over a 4 week period that I am looking to sell.
What price would you expect to ask for a round like this?

Whats the big difference between a gardening round and a mowing round. I get the impression you find the term 'gardening' to be derogatory?

NO!! Im not selling a business, Im merely selling part of my round. Please read the title, its not a gardening round, its not a business, its a mowing round for 2 days a week, with a T/o of £1600.

Rob my two pence again ; -
2k for a return of 150% investment value in 8 weeks is very very good, I would ask for more or best offer - It may seem too good to be true, Even if 50% of customers deserted a new owner after day 1, thats a very good return of 75% in 8 weeks!
If you dont mind, I would be very interested in how this goes, It would help me greatly as I would like to try and value the good-will & Customers in my business - a rough value for this would be amazing. At the moment guessing value is just that!

A rough guess you will do this for 9 months of the year £1600 x 9 = £14400 a year less 30% overheads petrol van wear and tear machinery wear and tear etc = £4800 so a tidy sum of £9600.00 remaining there is then recommendations additional work and so on.
If you marketed this with a hand holding period-throw in a couple of mowers lawn edgers small strimmer some one would buy this to kick start them self's or a son for £4500 easy.
A person looking to add to excising work ie me if i lived close would give you as little as possible but if you twisted my arm I would pay 3k 1.5k down and 1.5k in 3 months once proven client base

Mowing round - just mowing, charged at a fixed price per cut rate, additional gardening jobs charged as extra on request.
