whats the existing ground like / whats your planned construction technique.

what subbase do you plan on using?

what is access to the site like?

i guess your only asking about the labour side of it as you must know what your materials costs are?

a bit more info would help
Acces is ok, little bit of a walk and a few steps, ground is good, and will be layed on a base of ballast with a top base of sand.
I am after just the labour cost for this only because my other half and i are having a little debate as she thinks ive come in a bit high.
without seeing it, im guessing at least 2 weeks work for 1 person, so whatever 2 weeks of your day rate is.
A lot of this will depend on your location as labour rates vary quite significantly.
Assuming you have all the necessary equipment (obviously hiring wacker plates etc will be aditional if required) and you are butt jointing and not having to point i would say 5 days labour.

Will you apply SBR to the underside of the paving? What grade of paving will you be installing and is this a high end project requiring spaced precision radius cuts, etc.

If you want to chat about prices and installation practices please feel at ease to contact me either by phone or email.

Have a look at the NCC Streetscape Pointing compound, its fantastic, you can even point in the rain and only once.

id assumed

dig out to 6inches (approx 6cube) barrow to skip or alternate. 2 days

barrow in 4inch of ballest 1 day

barrow in 180+ slabs and sand 1 day

laying slabs 2 days

then id assumed pointing as well

plus a bit for any problems

I obviously work slower than some people!!!
£1000 plus Every material cost ? no cement???????????????
Alex, I see from your profile you're just starting out in business.

There are many ways of laying paving. Can I suggest you read through the different techniques at the Paving Expert site which is very informative.

Laying paving is not cheap if it is done properly and we would never lay a patio on sand.
