If you work outside and suffer with hay fever then you have my sympathy. Luckily for me I've never been afflicted (although I have felt the affects from pollen when it's been at its height).
According to the NHS up to one in five people suffer from hay fever.

from Lloyds pharmacy. I have heard from a few people that it really helps. And
it used to be £50, - now they are selling for £16.99, I think I might try it.

This is because they work by preventing the cells that release histamine which causes the symptoms of runny nose & watery eyes. Once Histamine has been released it's like closing Pandora's box - virtually impossible to prevent the symtoms.
It's not easy I know to remember before you need them but I've learned that if I start taking my tablets when the poppies start flowering I can prevent my hayfever symptoms altogether.
So its worth noting this year when your symptoms start and reminding yourself next year when to start your tablets. And if your hayfever hasn't started yet then start your tablets now anyway - too early is better than too late.
yep. Duncan, I'm with you there.... plus itching like you have ants crawling on you all the time .... I have prescription stuff (tablets and nasal spray) that help most of the time, but have learned not to touch my eyes even if htey itch :) ... or I will look like the creature from the black lagoon for 24 hours... ha ha... There are some allergies you can avoid most of the time, and others you can't.
Permalink Reply by Simon Jarvis on May 21, 2012 at 11:34 I suffer with hayfever brought on by grass. I have found that if I wear a fairly heavy duty mask that is designed to stop paint fumes then I suffer no symptoms.
I look a bit stupid but it is certainly worth it

be £20 well spent if it works. The reviews sound good.
