  • We were digging out a garden and dumping on boards on otherside of the road with digger and dumper. Road looked like a dirt track when we were finished, all clean now though took us an hour to clean up.
  • Weeding beds, pruning shrubs and hedging . The sun didnt make it through today.
  • Planting bare root hedging - still bloomin cold tho! Tidying up herbaceous borders yesterday, and basking in very warm sunshine - difficult to imagine two consecutive days being so different!

I don't work Fridays so I can spend time with my family but the people who work for me were out and about.

Today they ripped out most of a front garden and re-planted as necessary. You have to work a tad harder to keep warm but this usually ends up with a delighted customer - which is what we had today :)

I almost wish I was out there - in South Bucks it was glorious in the sunshine
  • At the nursery sourcing plants for a garden which I will plant on Monday. Tagging and ordering trees for another job. Fog all day.
  • Because of my massacred thumb I was using the backpack to clear leaves and some shredding for the compost heap at private customer. One of the boys across the road sorting a couple of wind-blown limbs that had been wedged up the tree and cleaning off broken limb on another that a lorry driver and driven into and broken off yesterday. Then he cut some grass to tidy up a little. Then up the hills for an hour to cut back some hydrangeas for one of our favourite customers - a fine end to the day! Then clean the new van. The End.
  • picked up some more fencing materials for a job and dropped them off, hedge cutting, fence repair, mowing !!, odd jobs, pruning, border clearing.....

Started off cold & foggy....cleared up a bit then the sun fell out the sky and it got a bit chilly...Just glad to be out earing without it lashing down ;-)
  • Frosty this morning.

Working for Wyevale Garden Centre in Beverley. Had to grit the footpaths first thing. Otherwise been flogging Noble Firs and Nordman Firs (non-drop xmas trees) to the masses all day. Foggy on the way home.

Was laying granite paving for a customer yesterday, more next week.

Garden centre again tomorrow - no rest for the wicked!
