Now that's a title. In my Landscape Juice Auction (Philip didn't know he offered this service) I would like to request and offer the above items...!!!Only Joking of course. With a little seriousness, do any contractors have a yearly grass cutting schedule (I base most my work on 17 cuts a year). I always tried to cut once every two weeks, but last year I really got caught out, with the Hot and Wet Spring. As previously offered on The Juice, I have a fantastic year round, gardening calendar, which I create myself but using several sources. It is good for customers, employees and gardeners...notifying what to sow, what to prune, oh - you all the know the stuff. Just let me know if you would like me to send you this on a monthly basis...and it will be over to you.Sefton

  • Sounds great send me them please i will send you a pm with my email address on.

I normaly follow the grass when it comes to cutting last season i finished in dec as it was very mild, but this season it was early about late sept.

Most contracts ask for a fortnightly vist but if the weathers on your side and with the right fertilizers i get the grass to grow quite fast and they always ask for the lawns to be cut once a week.

    Hi Sefton

    Great idea.

Rather than send it, why not upload it into this post as and when necessary and let those that are interested take it?

    Good work

  • We cut once a fortnight since that is usually what the client wants. It does get disappointing though when the grass is growing very strongly in the Spring, cutting so much off weakens the lawn and the finished product never looks nice. Furthermore if we get a weeks rain, the mower really struggles after 3 weeks. We always try to get the nod for a weekly cut and then common sense based on our own lawns dictate if we miss a week or not. As usual its down to money.
