Thanks for sharing this - they're pretty good! Nice to see some simple, bite size information for something so important these days to growing a business.

  • It does actually have a few bits of decent info in it (although it's hugely biased). The problem a lot of you will have is knowing which bits are useful, and which bits are less so.

With anything marketing, success comes from 'how you do it', not 'what you do'. This video simply gives you a list of what they think you should do. Without direction, you could follow all of the steps in the video and end up worse off than you were before you started. It's not a resource that could be used in isolation without an awful lot more research.

  • Hi Craig,

Nice piece, Youtube as well, make sure you search and filter by time, getting the newest videos (as the strategy's change depending on recent updates) but YouTube can gave you loads of little tips on to help yourself when it comes to getting traffic from search. 1st stop should be to go and claim your "my business listing" if you haven't already. This tells Google you want to be taken seriously in offering your services locally. Fill it in to 100% completion and in time Google will consider you for the local listings which is a decent way of getting new people on your site or business page.
